The Twelve Days of A Caregiver's Christmas
On the First Day of Christmas, I made my list of presents to buy for our family.
On the Second Day of Christmas, I shopped on Black Friday for bargains.
On the Third Day of Christmas, I shopped for more bargains because they extended Black Friday sales to Saturday.
On the Fourth Day of Christmas, I wrote Christmas cards to all our friends abroad.
On the Fifth Day of Christmas, I visited my Mum and got her list for Christmas giving.
On the Sixth Day of Christmas, I made six cheese balls for my Mum to give to her friends and helpers.
On the Seventh Day of Christmas, I made lemon squares and put them in the freezer (to avoid putting them in my mouth!)
On the Eighth Day of Christmas, I made my Nana's shortbread Christmas cookies and froze... most of them.
On the Ninth Day of Christmas, I made pastry for the Canadian Christmas Eve pork pie. Froze it!
On the Tenth Day of Christmas, I decorated the Christmas tree with Nicholas.
On the Eleventh Day of Christmas, I wrapped all the gifts.
And on the Twelfth Day of Christmas, I looked at my family, our friends and our helpers and I said thank you. Then I ate everything in the freezer.
