Zachary White and I have been very busy recently promoting our new book, The Unexpected Journey of Caring: The Transformation From Loved One to Caregiver.
After a couple of years working hard on writing, we are laying the ground for a meaningful conversation about our ideas. It feels to me like some things we experience privately, we've never really talked about publicly before. Zachary and I have relied on our own caregiving experience as well as on research to reveal these truths.
So far on Amazon, we have five reader reviews (all 5* - yay!) - here they are:

I am in chapter three and this book is so relevant. I am my mother's caretaker, 24\7\365. It's been two years since mom lost her independence. Every day is the same. Sometimes we have to think hard about what day of the week it is. I have never been away from the house for more than a few hours, pharmacy pick up, grocery shopping...and I am fearful of her safety. I have no lifeline.
This work is a silent yet gentle reminder of how nurturance usually presents itself in ways we do not anticipate, rearranging priorities with no consultation. I also enjoyed that the narrative centered on minor, incremental decisions, and big actions were not the focus. It also helped me to remember that support can be in various forms, including practical ones, such as assisting a person to balance in life when life becomes too busy, and they choose to enroll l take my online accounting class. An intelligent book that does not appear idealized but rather sincere and down-to-earth.
